How your information is handled
Private by default
There's no account, no sign-up and no profile. You can take the whole thing and read your results without giving us anything. We only keep something when you choose to: your email address if you email yourself your results, or your rating if you tell us how well your result fits.
While you're answering
Your answers live in your browser while you take it. A copy also sits in this tab's session storage, so a refresh picks up where you left off. That copy is deleted when you reach your results, start over, or close the tab. None of it is sent to us.
Your private results link
Your results link carries your answers in the part after the #. Browsers don't send that part to our server when someone opens the link, so opening it stores nothing. But anyone who has the link can decode it and read what's inside, so treat it like the key to your diary. It holds anything you shared in “A little about you” (name, pronouns, who you're into), your answers, and your icks and red flags. Your attraction and intimacy answers stay out unless you tick the box to include them.
If you email yourself your results
We store your email address, your archetype and your results link so we can send it, and we send it through our email provider, Resend. We only send you occasional insights emails if you tick that box, and we record when you did. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and mail apps like Gmail show a one-click unsubscribe button. From that link you can also permanently delete your email address from our list.
If you rate your result
The “How much does this feel like you?” card only sends when you press Send feedback. It stores the archetype you got and any you pick as closer, your rating, the areas you say it missed, your scores on the 13 dimensions, and, if you answered them, four 0 to 100 scores worked out from your attraction and intimacy answers (how much looks, sexual chemistry, trying new things in bed, and a partner's past matter to you). It isn't linked to your name, your email or your results link.
Cookie-free, anonymous analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few milestones, like when a quiz starts or someone reaches their results. It sets no cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and doesn't identify you. There is no session recording.
Your answers are never sent to analytics
Analytics only ever receives an event name such as quiz_started or results_viewed. Your answers, scores, archetype, profile details, and anything you write are never included.
This is not a clinical tool
Unwritten is a reflective, self-authored exercise for thinking through your own relationship values. It is not a diagnostic, clinical, or morality assessment, and its results should not be treated as psychological or medical guidance.
